PG Report: 12/24/06.. Christmas EVE

This Morning on Christmas Eve, I decided to hit The local Spot for About 2 Hours. The Plan was to wade and catch a Few Large Mouth since the River was up high and Current was Flowing fast, Alot more underwater current then what I saw On the Surface. I tried this For about an Hour and Since nothing was working out I decided to Hit The bridge and Target Panfish. Here i was Hoping for aytleast a crappie But even that didn't happen So i stuck Strictly to Green Sunfish, Pumpkin seed, and Bluegill. I managed 28 Bluegill on a Trout Magnet in Orange.
Best i can do With just artificials.

PG Report: 11/24/06 ... The Mad Scientist

No Pictures or Detail today, I grabbed the Wrong batteries so they were dead unfortunately..

And Those who Read and Are non believers for some reason... I’ll Quickly make you into a believer the Next report

A day after Playing in my Annual Thanksgiving Tackle football Game, This year With Off duty Cops. My Brother and I decided to go Fishing Being Sore and All because I finally Had time. Arriving at our Hole Crushing all the Dry leaves on our shoes that had Fallen from the surrounding trees, We set up. First I threw in a Tube bait And Worked it Slow to Determine How Aggressive the Fish actually were. In doing so I hooked into a small 2lb Common Carp. Afterwards I Caught a Nice 2lb 4oz Large Mouth bass, Then After wards landing a 11 1/2 inch White bass. Then the Sun had been blocked from the Trees So The water in front of me Was Dark, Clear and Perfect for my Favorite and Most Affective way of fishing When These Conditions are present No matter the season. So as This doesn't take a Mad Scientist to Figure out I quickly Tied on a White Spinner Bait and Proceeded to Land Large Mouth, After Large Mouth. It was Great to get back out on the Water today. As busy As I've been, It's a Great feeling especially when You know you made the right decision to produce more quality fish. All I have left to do now Is Sit and Let my Body Recover from a Hard Hitting Thanksgiving game.

I hope all Had a Very Good Thanksgiving and Made Sure You Gave thanks To all The Things Your Grateful for

PG REPORT: 10-19/20-06 The Need for Improvement

ALL FISH ARE NETTED, HOOK TAKEN OUT AND PLACED INTO THE KEEP NET DIRECTLY OUT OF THE NET WITH NO HUMAN CONTACT, THEY THEN ARE DISPLAYED FOR A QUICK PICTURE AND RELEASED SUCCESSFULLY AND UNHARMED !

I fished Briefly Thursday and Today. My outing yesterday left me quite Confused, As I had multiple hits but only two fish landed. So I came home and Experimented with my tackle and stayed up almost till 1 A.m. trying to figure this out. I Think I finally figured out the problem and looked forward to trying it out during today's outing. Making New Preparation baits (strawberry, Cherry, and more Peanut butter) I was excited to get out. Before Leaving the spot yesterday I baited and Expected the bigger fish to push the smaller ones out as much as I threw in. 10/19 I had so many bites with only two fish to show for my efforts, I was not only disgusted but was really frustrated with myself. I don't get down and out when not catching fish but When I don't catch them consistently it bothers me and I go through dramatic measures to improve. Fishing for me is a passion and obsession and If I don't consistently perform I get stressed and I do all that I can to get better, This is what motivated me since I was little. 10/20 Today I was fishing a hair rig with 6lb test Lighter line. The bigger fish did move the smaller ones out as I had hoped and Fishing was fun, Fish were there and Feeding heavily I missed a few on the hook sets but did end up landing 6 fish total. I caught 3 on peanut butter and 3 on Straw berry flavored dough bait. The peanut butter gave me the bigger fish though. the Last fish I caught and the one displayed in the picture is the First fish EVER in my life to have got me tired in a fight, This fish made so many runs i couldn’t even hold the rod with my right hand any more.. I was holding on for dear life, The Greatest Fight I’ve ever had with a Fish for sure !! and a blast to successfully get him in.
Will Probably not Fish tomorrows Trout opener, As I have focused somewhere else... Might hit it Sunday

PG Report: 10/6/06 ... Afternoon Delight

PG Report: 10/6/06 .. Afternoon Delight

Rushing to Our Delightful and Colorful Fall Display. We Quickly Set up For Common Carp. James Decided to set a Tournament between us, so of Coarse it happened. It Was Based on a Team of Two. Shane and George, And Neil And James. The Carp at first were feeding heavily on the bottom and I was able to hook 5 Quick, As well As James and Neil hooking a Few. Shane and I were using Corn on a Bronze Bait Holder Hook, While Neil and James Were Fishing with a Treble hook and James's Special Preparation bait. I Hooked Them early And Took an Early lead for our Team While James And Neil Struggled. The Competition was close and really Fun. There was Trash talking as well as some laughs. After The Carp Stopped feeding heavily in my area I started Catching Pumpkin seed, Not being a Good Sign I moved to a close spot And Tried but Again Just pumpkin seed Hitting my corn, Before the Carp were able to. While James Sat And Waited For Carp To Gulp down His Special Prep. Bait. I’m Not Saying What could of happened etc. But There SHOULD have been more fish landed by myself as well as Shane. I took about 20 minutes out showing Shane the proper techniques to Catching carp. He Hooked them but wasn’t able to land them Hooking five and Missing them all. I Hooked one briefly that came unhooked and James Hooked one and Fought in a little while before it came undone. I’m satisfied with my Five Fish Quality day. And Congratulate James and Neil For Beating us 8 Fish to 5.

Team A
James 7 Carp (7-1)
Neil 1 Carp (1-0)

Team B
George 5 Carp (5-1)
Shane 0 Carp (0-5 )

Here’s Pictures Of The Exact order they were caught in.

Neil Show Casing his First carp of the day... He’ll Get out of Gilling them Shortly I’m Hoping
Nice Catch none the less !

PG Report: 10/1/06 ... GO FISHING

I Apologies for the Late post, As I had a very Long Sunday. This Morning I hit the Same Bridge I hit On Saturday morning but this Time I hit it with Sara. Sara did well hooking up with 8 Bluegill on Her Light out fit as well as myself on mine. The Fishing was a little harder for me today as There is New structure in the Surrounding area and the water Was only 5 “ of clarity. so we were very careful on not losing our jigs in which we were already short supply on. I did end up catching 15 Fish total including Another crappie and Large Mouth bass. But the fish were suspending in 3 Feet of water While we were fishing about 6" above there head maybe a little more. But I did have a great time out with Sara today. We had a few laughs, Hugs, And Kisses Including Fish So Overall I think anyone would call that a success.

Here's Pictures of our outing, Sara Didn't want any of her today (Bad hair day I guess) So It'll Just be My Ugly Mug once again

This is me Posing With the Large Mouth Bass I caught Jigging For Blue Gills.

PG Report: 9/30/06 .... Crunch Time

PG Report: 9/30/06 .... Crunch Time

Good Evening Fishing Fans ! First Off I’d Really Like to Thank you For Your Continuous Views and Replies on my reports. Those reply’s are what motivate me to Keep Reporting. With Plans of hitting the Chain Today Neil called and Said it was Pushed to Sunday because of “Bad Weather” So I wont be able to go tomorrow. But Instead This morning I decided to hit the River. Since Tomorrow will Be October 1, I planned on hitting my Late Fall-All Winter open water Holes. And they proved to be very successful I hit Two bridges Catching a Total of 33 Fish. 3 Crappie, 3 Large Mouth Bass, And 24 Bluegill and Green Sunfish (Mixed). The First bridge I fished I caught the Nice Crappie and Large Mouth bass (Only 5 Minutes away from the House) The Second bridge, is my Pan fish Hole. Both Bridges Are about 3 Feet Deep next to the wall With Moderate Structure, Mostly Fallen Timber. The Bridge That REALLY Produces in the Winter and Caught the Nice Crappie and Large Mouth QUICKLY Drops into 6 Feet of Water, With Tons Of Timber of the Drop off.

Here’s Few Pictures of My Day ( Fished 9-11a.m.)

A Common sight by all Anglers, That Heavy Glare from the Sun...

Got Part of The Cray Fish Just as He Tried to swim off... We Had Some laughs .. CRAW BUG.. lol
(Inside Joke )

Then Hit under the Bridge... And Switched to a White Plastic
First Fish was a Decent Crappie That Hit HARD !

Then After pounding the Gills And Smaller Crappie.. I Decided to Set my Drag .. no apparent reason
Good Thing I did, Because This guy Made a Couple good Runs on my Light Outfit.

When I got home, Went to purchase a Few things.. I’m sure you know what these two will be used for...

finally Got to sit and talk to Sara, And Sophie about my outing. Sara enjoyed it... Sophie.. Not as Much

PG Report: 9/26/06 .... Process

My Brother James and I set out For a little Large Mouth Bass Fishing at 10:15a.m. And Fished until 11:55a.m. The Fishing wasn’t Slow I hooked up on my second cast using a black soft plastic. But then it slowed for me, as the sun was making it’s way to our right and the shallows started getting clearer I switched to a Brown Plastic Nailing them Quicker !! James was Throwing a Bait in Which imitates a tiny minnow to match the forage swimming near us, then switched to a black plastic. We were fishing a sloping point slowly dropping into 3-4 feet of water most fish were caught in 3 feet of water near slight weed growth. the fish were pretty aggressive really pounding the lure ! It was a great although short get together. Hopefully I’ll be able to give you guys a wonderful Report this weekend out of a location I’m not positive on yet.

Heres Pictures of Our Outing !

PG Report: 9/23/06 ..PreGame

This Morning Neil And I Arrived about 4:30a.m. Fished the Mouth of Montrose until 5a.m. Afterwards we went to the Park Bait shop where I purchased a Flasher. Then we proceeded to The Horseshoe. Fonsnook was already there and Clifford had Landed One Brown Trout. We fished until 7:30a.m. Most fish Caught today Were Apparently Snagged some how or another as was mine, Clifford Snagging his on top of it’s head with a Jr. Thunder stick And I snagging mine on the Tail with a Light Orange Spoon. I Tried Throwing it back But It Was Floating and Didn’t Look Like it would be revived so we Re-netted it and I brought it home and Gave it to my Neighbors (better then a Waste). The Fish Not being able to swim away was entirely my fault on in-proper handling, One I didn’t keep it low to the Ground So when it Had Wiggled away it fell Hard. Two Because Of the Fish wiggling so Much the Pictures Took A little Longer then usual. I’m Kind of down on the fact I told my self; Next fish I caught was released whether it is a Silver king or a Trophy. Well Hopefully This Evening at Waukegan I get hooked up with a King, Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Almost forgot to mention, chgoEnforcer (Chuck) Was Fishing there today, Maybe he’d Like to Share His Outing When he Gets time Nice Meeting you looking forward to the Outing

Cleaning,Cureing, And Cooking

This Morning Before The Bears Started I Cleaned, Cured And Cooked Some Chinook (King) Salmon From Last Night in Which I caught Fishing The Shorline of Lake Michigan in Cook County Illinois. I Had no idea I had a Female Salmon I've Never Been Positive on how to tell The Differance Between the two, But When I cut Her open There Were eggs Awaiting. I Decided I wanted to Grill My Salmon using Teryaki Sauce. With the Help of Fonsnook I Cured And Cooked my Salmon In Which Tasted Fantastic I ate my Small portion but a lot left for The Rest of The Week/Month. The Eggs Are Still Curieng While I Admire another Great Dominate Performance By Our Hometown Chicago Bears and thank there defence for the Fantasy Points

I buttered up aluminum foil put my Fillet on The Aluminum Foil Poured Teryaki Sauce onto both sides then sprinkled my seasoning. I wrapped it up and cooked both sides on the Grill for 7 minutes each.

I Poured a Curieng Formula onto the eggs and Then Let them Dry After Drying I cut Pieces of Sqaures out, then Stored it in a Freezer Bag and placed it into the Freezer for later this Fall.

PG Report: 9/16/06 .... Simplicity

After waking up at 6a.m. and Fixing Myself corn beef hash and Eggs over Easy YUMMY, I set out to Hit the River I Arrived and First set my line in the water at 7:30a.m. And I Fished until 10:30a.m. I started out using a Black Soft Plastic with a Jig head With out a tap, So I made the switch to a Brown soft plastic and landed one, Thinking about The conditions and how the first one had bit I downsized my jig head and that was the ticket for the rest of my morning. Making this adjustment landed me 11 More Large Mouth Bass 12 Counting the One Before the Adjustment. This goes to show you how big a difference a few ounces or even a slight color differential could make in having a successful outing. I was Fishing 3 Feet of water Next to a Small Weed Bed Slowly dropping into 5 Feet of water. Fish Weren’t Really aggressive I had to have my hand on the line 80 % of the time, And the Wind didn’t help much either. But The Outing Was Successful And I learned two new things in which i may add to my Winter Arsenal !
